B Corp Day of Service

  • Volunteering: Various Locations | After Party: Shine Distillery & Grill 4232 N Williams Ave Portland, OR (map)
B Local PDX - B Corp Day of Service on February 21, 2019

SIGNUP DEADLINE: Monday, February 18, 2019
Volunteering: February 21, 1-4pm at Various Locations in Portland
After Party: Shine Distillery & Grill - 4232 N Williams Ave - at Skidmore (map).

The first annual Day of Service event was organized in response to the desire to create meaningful connections between B Corp businesses, local nonprofits, and our community. Although many B Corps offer paid volunteer time, we found out that for a variety of reasons only about 30% of it was being used. The Day of Service is designed to provide a meaningful volunteer experience to kickstart their connection with of causes that help people feel more empowered to serve our community.

B Local PDX, along with help from some amazing sponsors, will be hosting a volunteer celebration at the end of the day for people to share and reflect on the impact and meaning of their service. This is a great opportunity for you to be part of a single day that will have a positive ripple effect throughout our city. During this celebration, we will also share the stats on our collective impact for the day and engage in further learning with our nonprofit partners.

We'll have multiple volunteer shifts at different nonprofits opportunities from 1-4pm. Then we'll come back to celebrate together from 5-8pm at Shine Distillery & Grill - 4232 N Williams Ave - at Skidmore (map).

Please note the deadline to sign up for this opportunity is Monday, February 18, 2019, so that we can give our partner organizations sufficient notice to prepare for our groups of volunteers.

Thanks to our Sponsors!
